Changes 2026 Q1

Update this page with new features and changes.

Database — Transaction Pooler (Feb 2026)

  • Migrated the database connection from Session Pooler (port 5432, max: 1) to Transaction Pooler (port 6543, max: 10).
  • New environment variable DATABASE_MIGRATION_URL — Session Pooler is used for migrations and Drizzle Studio, Transaction Pooler for the app and worker.
  • prepare: false set on all connections (required for PgBouncer transaction mode).
  • Worker updated with prepare: false, idle_timeout and connect_timeout.
  • Migration script updated to prefer DATABASE_MIGRATION_URL.

External document collection (Feb 2026)

  • New feature: Request documentation from external parties via magic link.
  • An internal user creates a request from the «Follow up» dialog (matching view) or the «New task» dialog.
  • The external contact receives an email with a unique upload link — no sign-in required.
  • Public upload page (/d/[token]) with drag-and-drop and multi-file upload.
  • Uploaded files are automatically linked to the correct transaction and task.
  • The internal user is notified in the app when documentation has been received.
  • Links expire after 14 days (configurable).
  • New database tables document_requests and document_request_files with RLS.

Documentation

  • New documentation site with Docusaurus (Get started, guides, FAQ, developers).
  • Internal content (integrations, architecture) available in the internal deploy.

Time zone fixes and calendar (Mar 2026)

  • Fixed a bug where deadlines and calendar entries could be shown on the wrong date (shifted by one day in the Norwegian time zone).
  • Affected the deadline widget on the dashboard, Excel import of dates, task deadlines and report dates.
  • Fixed in 11 files with ~20 individual instances.

Performance improvements — perceived speed (Mar 2026)

  • Instant loading: Navigating between pages immediately shows a skeleton of the content while data loads in the background.
  • Streaming: The client page shows the page layout immediately; table data streams in in parallel via React Suspense.
  • Prefetching: Matching pages and reports are prefetched in the background when the mouse hovers over a row in the table.
  • Server cache: The client list is cached for 30 seconds — back navigation is now instant.

Planned updates

  • Screenshots and videos in guides.
  • Full API reference and examples at API launch.
  • Algolia search for faster find.
