Deadlines

The deadline module gives you a full overview of all regulatory and internal deadlines — VAT, A-melding, tax return, annual accounts and more. You see status per company and per deadline, so nothing falls between the cracks.

Views

  • Year wheel — circular overview for one company and one calendar year.
  • Matrix (Progress) — table with deadline category as rows and months as columns. Cells are coloured by status, including completed deadlines. Select the year at the top, and hover a cell for deadline, completed date, completed by and responsible.
  • Firm — portfolio overview across companies.

The Excel download from the year wheel opens with the same progress sheet. Cell comments and the Deadline list sheet show Responsible, Completed and Completed by. Older deadlines without a recorded completer are shown as «—».

Deadline table

The deadline page shows all deadlines in a table with columns for:

  • Deadline name — what the deadline concerns (for example «VAT return 1st period»)
  • Due — the date the deadline falls due
  • Status — how far the work has come
  • Responsible — who is responsible for this deadline
  • Company — which company the deadline belongs to

Status display

Each deadline has a status that shows progress:

StatusMeaning
Not startedNo one has started working on the deadline
In progressThe work is underway
DoneAll tasks linked to the deadline are completed
OverdueThe deadline has passed without the work being completed

Overdue deadlines are shown with a red highlight.

Filtering

You can filter the deadline table by:

  • Company — show deadlines for one or more companies
  • Status — for example only in progress or overdue
  • Year — show all deadlines in the calendar year, including completed ones
  • Responsible — show deadlines for a specific team member

Linking tasks to deadlines

Deadlines become more useful when you link tasks to them:

  1. Open a deadline
  2. Click Create task
  3. The task inherits the deadline as its due date

You can also use task lists (templates) that automatically create a set of tasks when they are assigned to a deadline.

Deadlines in the calendar

All deadlines are shown automatically in the calendar, colour-coded by category:

  • Tax — purple
  • Payroll — blue
  • Reporting — green
  • Reconciliation — yellow
  • Custom — grey

Tips

  • Check the deadline overview weekly to catch upcoming deadlines in time
  • Use the responsible field to distribute deadlines in the team
  • Link task lists to deadlines for automatic task generation
