How to connect Tripletex to Revizo
Connect Revizo to Tripletex for automatic synchronisation of accounting data. Once the connection is set up, Revizo fetches postings and bank transactions automatically — you avoid manual file import.
What you need
Before you start you need:
- Administrator access in Revizo (only administrators can connect integrations)
- Consumer token from Tripletex
- Employee token from Tripletex
- At least one client created in Revizo
Go to Tripletex → Settings → Integration → API access. Here you find the consumer token and employee token. Copy both values.
Step 1: Connect to Tripletex
- Open Integrations in the side menu in Revizo
- Find Tripletex in the list and click Configure
- You now see the connection dialog with status «Not connected»
Paste API keys
- Paste the Consumer token in the first field
- Paste the Employee token in the second field
- If you use Tripletex’s test environment, tick «Use test environment»
- Click Connect Tripletex
Revizo now verifies the connection against Tripletex. If everything is in order you see a green tick and the company name from Tripletex.
Common causes:
- Consumer token is invalid — check that you have copied the entire token
- Employee token is invalid — check that the token has not expired
- Wrong environment — test environment tokens do not work against production and vice versa
Step 2: Choose client and company
After the connection is verified, the configuration is shown:
- Select client — choose which Revizo client should be connected to Tripletex
- Select Tripletex company — choose the company from the list (Revizo fetches available companies automatically)
Step 3: Select accounts
Revizo fetches the chart of accounts from Tripletex automatically. You can search by account number or account name.
Set 1 — General ledger
Select one or more accounts from the general ledger that Revizo should fetch postings from. These become «Set 1» in reconciliation.
Set 2 — Bank
Select one or more bank accounts that Revizo should fetch bank transactions from. These become «Set 2» in reconciliation.
You can select several accounts for each set. For example you can select account 1920 and 1930 as bank accounts.
Step 4: Select transaction fields
You can choose which fields should be fetched from Tripletex. Amount and date are always fetched.
| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Description | Text from the posting | On |
| Voucher number | Voucher number (voucher) | On |
| Invoice number | Invoice number | Off |
| Reference | Reference field | On |
| Currency amount | Amount in foreign currency | Off |
| Account number | Account number from the chart of accounts | On |
Step 5: Choose start date and interval
- Synchronise from date — choose the start date for data retrieval (default: 1 January of the current year)
- Interval — how often Revizo should synchronise automatically (default: 60 minutes)
Step 6: Start synchronisation
Click Connect and synchronise. Revizo now fetches:
- Company information and chart of accounts
- Postings from the general ledger (Set 1)
- Bank transactions (Set 2)
- Opening balances
You see a summary with the number of postings and bank transactions that were fetched.
Automatic synchronisation
After first-time setup, Revizo synchronises automatically with Tripletex in the background. Only new postings and transactions are fetched — data that has already been imported is not fetched again.
You can see the status of automatic sync under the client’s configuration:
- Status: Active / Paused
- Last sync: Time of the last successful sync
- Set 1: Number of selected general ledger accounts
- Set 2: Number of selected bank accounts
Synchronise manually
You can click Synchronise now at any time to fetch new data immediately.
Change configuration
You can change account selection, fields, start date and interval after setup:
- Go to Integrations → Tripletex
- Select the client you want to change
- Change the settings
- Click Update and synchronise
Disconnect Tripletex
To disconnect Tripletex, contact an administrator. Data that has already been imported is retained in Revizo.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to data that has already been imported?
Data is retained in Revizo even if you change the configuration or disconnect Tripletex. Revizo does not overwrite existing data.
Can I connect the same client to a different Tripletex company?
Yes. Change the Tripletex company in the configuration and run sync again. Existing data is retained.
Are multiple accounts supported?
Yes. You can select several accounts for both Set 1 (general ledger) and Set 2 (bank).
What does «incremental sync» mean?
Revizo remembers what has already been fetched. At the next sync only new postings and transactions are fetched. This makes synchronisation fast and efficient.
What happens if Tripletex is down?
Revizo automatically retries up to 3 times with increasing wait time. If Tripletex is still unavailable, an error message is shown. Data that has already been imported is not affected. Sync tries again at the next automatic run.
What permissions does the token need in Tripletex?
The employee token needs read access to:
- Chart of accounts
- General ledger postings
- Bank transactions
- Balance / trial balance
- Company information
For accountants who work with several clients: the token should have access to all relevant companies.
Troubleshooting
«Tripletex authentication failed»
- Check that you have copied the correct consumer token and employee token
- Check that you are using the right environment (test vs. production)
- Check that the tokens have not expired in Tripletex
«No access»
- The employee token does not have the required permissions
- Check the access settings in Tripletex under Settings → Integration
«Could not connect to Tripletex»
- Check your internet connection
- Tripletex may be down — check status.tripletex.no
Synchronisation shows 0 new items
- This is normal if there have been no new postings since last time
- Check that the start date (
Synchronise from date) is correct - Check that the selected accounts actually have postings in Tripletex
