Creating tasks

You can create tasks in several ways in Revizo, depending on the context you are working in.

From the tasks page

  1. Go to Tasks in the side menu
  2. Click + New task
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Title — a short description of what should be done
    • Description — optional, more details
    • Priority — Low, Medium, High or Critical
    • Category — what type of work (for example Reconcile, Follow up)
    • Deadline — when the task should be finished
    • Assign to — yourself, a team member, or an external contact
  4. Click Create

From an empty task list

When the list is empty, you can upload Excel, PDF or Word:

  1. Go to Tasks
  2. Click Upload task list, or drop the file on the button
  3. Revizo suggests tasks (title, deadline, responsible and any blocking)
  4. Review the suggestions and click Create — nothing is saved until you approve
  5. Cancel if you do not want to create anything

If the analysis fails, you get a clear error message. You can try again or choose a different file.

From team chat

You can create a task directly from a chat message:

  1. Hover over the message
  2. Click the task icon in the action bar
  3. The message content is used as the starting point for the task

From deadlines

When you have a deadline that requires work, you can create tasks linked to it:

  1. Open a deadline from the deadline overview
  2. Click Create task
  3. The task is automatically linked to the deadline

Tasks can be linked to a company and a client to provide context. This makes it easier to filter and see which tasks belong to which customer.

Request documentation

For tasks that require documents from external parties:

  1. Select External contact as responsible when creating
  2. Enable Request documentation
  3. The external party receives an email with an upload link
  4. When the document is uploaded, the task is updated automatically

You can also send a reminder by email if the documentation has not arrived.

Tips

  • Use categories consistently in the team — it makes filtering much easier
  • Always set a deadline on tasks that have a due date
  • Link tasks to deadlines when relevant — then you see the connection in the calendar
